AEO sprints for NZ solar & energy installers
When customers ask AI who to call, is it you?
People now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews who to hire for solar. Most installers never find out whether they're named. I check, show you the answers, then fix what's holding you back.
Free. No obligation. You get the audit whether or not you hire me.

What I check, and what you get back
I run the questions your customers ask, on the platforms they use, and record who gets named. You get a short written report with screenshots.
- Who the AI namesLocal searches for solar, batteries and EV chargers, run across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.
- Your Google Business ProfileCategories, services, photos, reviews and Q&A as Google Maps and the AI tools read them.
- Your service pagesWhether each service and each town you cover has a page an AI can quote.
- Structured dataLocalBusiness, Service and FAQ markup, so machines can read who you are and where you work.
- Citations and consistencyName, address and phone across directories and industry listings.
- ReviewsHow many, how recent, what they say, and whether you have a steady way to ask for more.
The AEO Sprint
Audit, fix, re-test. I do the work.
A fixed scope, done for you. You give me standard access, I make the changes, and I keep going until every item is live.
Audit
The full version of the free audit, plus a prioritised fix list for your site and profile.
Fix
- Profile and service page updates
- Schema and FAQ content
- Citation clean-up
- A simple review request flow
Re-test
The same questions, run again, compared with your starting point. A second check follows at around 30 days.
Speed is the point
The clock starts the day you give me access. I work on your sprint until it's finished, and I tell you if anything holds it up.
What I promise, and what I don't
I promise the work is delivered and tested. I can't promise a ranking or a number of enquiries, because AI answers aren't mine to control. You'll see before and after results either way.
Founding clients
I'm taking my first few installers.
Beatermix AEO is new. I'm working with a small number of founding clients at a reduced rate, in return for honest feedback and, if you're happy with the result, a testimonial.
- A written agreement before any work starts
- Reduced founding rate, agreed up front
- Limited places while I build the first case studies
Questions
Before you ask
What access do you need?
Standard access only: your website editor or CMS, your Google Business Profile as a manager, and analytics if you have it. I don't need payment details or admin rights to your wider accounts, and you can remove access when the sprint ends.
Will this get me to number one?
I can't promise that and I'd be wary of anyone who does. I make it much easier for AI tools and Google to find, understand and trust your business, then measure whether it shows up more often.
I'm already flat out with installs. Why bother?
AI answers are becoming a place customers shortlist who to call, and many installers pay lead aggregators for those same enquiries. Work on your own visibility keeps paying off after the sprint ends.
Why solar and energy?
Jobs are large, customers research carefully, and a lot of that research now starts with an AI question. If you're in another trade or industry and a good fit, send the audit request anyway.
Who am I dealing with?
Deke Bannister, in Christchurch. I run every audit and sprint myself.
